Kids’ Fishing Day
White’s Mill Kids’ Fishing Day is an annual tradition that began in 2022, bringing families together to create lasting memories along the mill pond.
During the 1970s and 1980s, White’s Mill was well known as a place where parents brought their children to fish for rainbow trout. Countless people in our community still treasure memories of those special days, and our goal is to continue that tradition for a new generation.
Held each September for children ages 3–14, Kids’ Fishing Day offers families a chance to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories that will last a lifetime. We hope today’s young anglers will someday look back on their time at White’s Mill with the same joy and fondness shared by generations before them.

This special day is all about creating lasting memories as children enjoy a morning of fishing in our beautifully restored, stocked creek—filled with trout just for them. It's a perfect opportunity for kids to experience the joy of fishing in a safe and welcoming environment, surrounded by nature and history. Along with casting their lines, children will be treated to snacks, and prizes will be awarded for a variety of fun categories. Plus, families will have the chance to see the historic mill wheel in action, bringing the rich past of the Mill to life. Don’t miss this wonderful community event that combines outdoor fun, learning, and a little bit of history for all ages!
