SEPTEMBER 2011 - The Tobacco Commission has granted White's Mill $43,350. for the restoration of the flume to bring water to the wheel. This is a dollar for dollar match and the White's Mill Foundation is currently seeking donations for this project. If you are interested in making a donation please mail it to P.O. Box 63, Abingdon, Va 24212 and mark in the memo flume restoration.
OCTOBER 2011 - VDOT has given final approval for the project to restore the Mill building and the request for bids will appear on October 23,2011 in the Bristol Herald Courier. The bids will be open on November 23, 2011.
